Jenesien Südtirol

On a beautiful mountain in the little town of Jenesien, is a wonderful Bio-Wellness Hotel called Saltus. Built on the side of a vast forest, covering the whole mountainside and the valley below. This hotel is tucked cozy between high pine trees reaching as far as the eye can see. This hotel has an incredible view overlooking the famous mountain peaks of the Italian Dolomites. You can see this incredible view from almost anywhere in the hotel, but it’s most incredible from the rooftop infinity pool, where you have an uninterrupted panoramic view overlooking the whole valley and the Dolomite mountains covering the whole horizon. The roof also has an open sunbathing terras and an indoor pool with nice poolside lounge beds.

The hotel offers a complete wellness program, with massage and beauty treatments, a finish sauna, steambath and hay-sauna, yes you heard me right, a hay-sauna. A sauna covered in hay to give a very special scent and experience to your sauna moment. The saunas look straight into the forest, creating a peaceful and grounding atmosphere. Perfect to detox not only the body, but the mind as well.

Right above the saunas, is a small but cozy yoga studio, with big glass windows, also looking straight into the forest, where if you’re lucky can spot a squirrel running up and down the pine trees. The studio is just big enough for 10 people, so the spots are limited. In this cozy studio, I will serve you up with yummy yoga classes that will balance all your senses. We start early in the morning with a gentle Vinyasa flow to get the day started. The flows are a little bit challenging but not so much that you don’t have any energy left for a nice long hike around the mountain. You might even get a nice energy boost to kickstart your day with. In the afternoon I serve you with a relaxing Yin/ Restorative class. Perfectly designed to bring your body back into a relaxed state of bliss before we settle down into a calm evening with a delicious gourmet dinner, which you can pair up with a delicious Südtirolian premium wine.

For the sauna lovers among you, I also treat you to an amazing sauna aufguss. Where I infuse ice balls with scented oils. And with suitable music, give you a spectacular show experience. Waving the hot air all around your body.

From the hotel, you can rent E-bikes, take long or short hikes in any direction, or take a bus down the mountain to the famous city of Bolzano/Bozen. Where you can walk through a beautiful park, visit museums or find many good restaurants for a nice dinner.
